Hasso Plattner is one of the founders of SAP, an enterprise software company, and has been Chairman of its Supervisory Board until 2024.
In 1998, Hasso Plattner founded the Hasso Plattner Institute for Digital Engineering (HPI), marking his first significant philanthropic contribution. After signing the Giving Pledge (initiated by Bill and Melinda Gates and Warren Buffet), he established the foundation in 2015.

Your Role
As a Legal Research Assistant (Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter), you will be a member of our legal team on 1-3 days of the week, supporting ongoing projects and assisting in a variety of legal research tasks. This role offers a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of legal concepts, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to our mission.
Key Responsibilities

Legal Research and Analysis:

Conduct in-depth research on legal topics, cases, regulations, and statutes.

Summarize and analyze findings to support legal opinions, reports, and presentations.

Support the legal team in their knowledge management efforts.

Document Preparation:

Assist in drafting contracts, agreements, and legal memoranda.

Support the preparation of briefs and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Compliance and Policy Support:
-
Monitor updates in laws and regulations relevant to the organization.

Assist in the development and review of compliance policies and procedures.

Administrative Support:
-
Organize and maintain legal files and databases.

Assist in coordinating meetings, including preparing agendas and help the team stay organized.
What We Are Looking For

Excellent first German state exam (at least “Vollbefriedigend”)

Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English.

Familiarity with legal research tools and software and AI is advantageous.

Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize workload effectively.

Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating high ethical standards.
