Manager Real Estate Controlling (all genders)

The Investment Office of the Hasso Plattner Foundation

We are a small, high-caliber investment office managing the global, multi-asset endowment of the Hasso Plattner Foundation. Established by SAP co-founder Hasso Plattner, the Foundation has grown into one of Europe's most ambitious philanthropic institutions building and running its own long-term philanthropic initiatives.

In the Investment Office, our mandate is to compound capital over decades to fund the Foundation's own philanthropic initiatives – Hasso Plattner Institute, Museum Barberini, Sabine Plattner African Charities, and more – into perpetuity. We allocate to funds and make select direct (co-)investments across public equities, leveraged buyouts, venture and growth capital, hedge funds, and real assets. We work with a long-term horizon and genuine strategic latitude, not mandate-constrained execution.

This is a distinct world of work: lean team, high ownership, short reporting lines, and meaningful work that funds impactful institutions you can see and visit.

This role sits at the intersection of construction, portfolio management, and investment controlling. It's the lean expert function that keeps HPF's real estate — including existing, planned and those under construction – are developed, managed and monitored in a financially sound and sustainable manner.

This role is based in Potsdam, Germany. We work predominantly in-office, by design. It's how we keep decisions fast and collaboration real.
