The Hasso Plattner Foundation aims to accelerate the adoption of digital technologies through science and education, improve access to art and culture, and support environmental conservation. Hasso Plattner is one of the founders of SAP, an enterprise software company, and has been Chairman of its Supervisory Board until 2024.
In 1998, Hasso Plattner founded the Hasso Plattner Institute for Digital Engineering (HPI), marking his first significant philanthropic contribution. After signing the Giving Pledge (initiated by Bill and Melinda Gates and Warren Buffet), he established the foundation in 2015.

About the Role:
We are seeking a Communications Working Student to join our team. In this role, you’ll support our team with content creation, design, and reporting. You’ll gather and craft materials for presentations and communication decks, visualize data in dashboards, and help keep our internal and external websites up to date. A strong interest in using AI tools to enhance communication outputs is essential.
Your responsibilities
- Create and edit high-quality content that shows the Foundation's mission and impact (including design, copywriting, presentations, reports)
- Analyze Communications KPIs, providing regular reports with insights and recommendations
- Use AI and automation tools to streamline communication workflows
- Assist in maintaining and updating internal and external websites
Required background
- Currently enrolled in a university program, preferably with a focus on Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Public Relations, or a related field
- Excellent communication skills in German and English
- Strong interest and ability to apply AI in communications
- Experience with design and content tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
- Familiarity with Hylex, M365, and Asana
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage tasks independently
- Passion for social impact and philanthropic work
