Event and Community Manager (f/m/x)

As the Event and Community Manager at HPI Engine, you play a pivotal role in shaping and nurturing our vibrant community through strategic event management. You are responsible for planning, organizing, and executing events that strengthen and expand our community as integral parts of HPI Engine’s programs and through standalone community-building initiatives. Your efforts are crucial in bringing our new brand, HPI Engine, to life and establishing its presence. In close collaboration with our Marketing and Communications Manager and the Program team, you will develop and implement strategies to enhance engagement, foster interactions, and build a cohesive community.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Event Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute events that align with and enhance our academic and entrepreneurial programs and develop standalone events that cater to the broader community’s interests
  • Strategic Event Development: Strategically create and lead new event initiatives that engage various segments of our community, driving brand visibility and community cohesion
  • Brand Building: Utilize events and community engagement as key tools in building and reinforcing the brand identity of HPI Engine, making it a recognizable and respected name in tech and academic circles
  • Integrated Program Collaboration: Ensure program-related events are seamlessly integrated into our curriculum and program goals, enhancing the participants' overall learning and networking experience
  • Community Building: Actively work to grow and strengthen the HPI Engine community by implementing engagement strategies and facilitating opportunities for networking and collaboration among members
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing and Communications Manager, the Program team, and the HPI event team to align event strategies with overall marketing and programmatic goals, ensuring a cohesive approach to community engagement
  • Feedback and Adaptation: Gather input from community members to continuously improve the relevance and impact of events and community initiatives
  • Metrics and Reporting: Develop and maintain a system to measure the success of events and community engagement activities, providing regular reports to senior management

 

Qualifications

 

  • Experience: Demonstrable experience in managing and executing events (preferably within the tech, startup, or venture capital sectors) with a strong link to building and nurturing professional communities (fostering collaborative environments and networking opportunities)
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English, capable of engaging a diverse audience and managing communications across multiple platforms
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Social Media Savvy: Good understanding of various social media platforms, their specific audiences, and strategies to boost engagement within a professional community
  • Creativity and Innovation: Creative thinker who can propose innovative solutions for event management and community engagement that align with organizational goals
  • Educational Background: A degree in Event Management, Communications, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory
  • Collaborative Approach: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team, particularly in collaborating closely with Marketing and Communications Program teams to align efforts and enhance the community experience
