Program & Communications Manager (m/f/x)
The position is initially limited to two years and full-time.
The Program and Communications Manager plays a important role in advancing the mission, visibility and operational excellence of Academic Partnerships at HPI. The position leads communication activities for all Academic Partnerships collaborations and initiatives, ensuring coherent messaging, strong visibility and effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, effective teamwork and the capacity to collaborate with researchers, international partners and cross functional HPI teams.
Your future tasks
- Website & Intranet Management
o Develop concepts for the website and intranet presence of the Academic partnerships office regarding programs and activities, ensuring usability, clarity, and up to date information
o Maintain and update the HPI Academic partnerships website and intranet content (research highlights, events, people pages, program information)
o Create, manage and continuously update dedicated external partnerships websites (focus on MIT-HPI AI & Creativity Hub - MHACH) including navigating institutional brand-restrictions and coordination with the partners’ communications teams and HPI communications team
- Science Communication & Event Support
o Support the planning and execution of science communication and partnership related events (e.g. talks, workshops, open house events, outreach activities)
o Prepare communication materials for events such as event pages, speaker bios, photos/videos and post event reports
o Collaborate with researchers to translate scientific results that come out of partnership activities to communication formats
- Social Media & Public Visibility
o Prepare and support in close collaboration with the HPI Communications team social media activities that highlight the partnerships activities and research achievements
o Ensure consistent messaging and professional presentation across all communication channels
Your skills
- Proven project and program management skills, preferably in academic and international context
- Experience in digital communication, web content creation and science communication
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities with a high degree of cultural sensitivity
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with researchers and administrative teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
- Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Typo3) is beneficial
