Student Assistant for Technical Support (f/m/x)
The position is temporary for 3-6 months and part-time (9 working hours per week).
Job Description
We, at the Connected Healthcare chair are conducting a study to investigate the effect of wearable devices on patient engagement in post-stroke rehabilitation. We are collaborating with our partners at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and Michels Kliniken Berlin-Brandenburg (Brandenburgklinik) to conduct data collection sessions with patients. We are looking for a student assistant to assist with technical support at the Brandenburgklinik. You will join the clinic team 2-3 times a week to set up requirements for the incoming recording sessions, which include setting up the smartphones and smartwatches, checking the sensors’ (IMUs) condition, and also helping with any arising technical issues.
Responsibilities
- Setting up the devices including checking for updates, setting up the data recording app, and connecting the sensors
- Troubleshooting: Providing support for any possible technical issues and communicating with the HPI team if necessary
- Providing weekly/biweekly reports to HPI team
Requirements
- Possibility to travel to the clinic (Michels Brandenburgklinik Berlin-Brandenburg, 16321 Bernau bei Berlin) 2-3 times per week. Ideally, you live closer to the clinic to minimize the commute
- Good knowledge in working with Android phones and smartwatches
- Interest in working with wearables and sensors
- Teamwork and problem-solving spirit
- Good knowledge of English
- German knowledge is a plus
